The Static Var Generator (SVG) is an advanced solution designed for power factor correction, voltage regulation, and three-phase balancing. The BY92-SVG model offers bi-directional power factor correction, effectively managing power factors from 1.0 inductive to 1.0 capacitive. Utilizing cutting-edge inverter technology, the SVG provides stepless compensation, ensuring that its output precisely matches the reactive power requirements of the system, thereby eliminating issues of over-compensation or under-compensation.

    Issues and Hazards of Power Quality

    Electric power quality refers to the quality of electrical energy in power systems. Ideally, electrical energy should be a perfectly symmetrical three-phase sine wave with current and voltage in phase. Various factors can cause the waveform to deviate from a symmetrical sine wave, leading to power quality issues.With economic development and the widespread use of numerous nonlinear loads (such as rectifiers, inverters, and switch-mode power supplies), the harmonics in the power grid have become increasingly severe. In low-voltage distribution networks, as people’s living standards improve, the number of electrical devices in households and factories has increased, and their load characteristics vary significantly. This has resulted in a high degree of imbalance, complexity, and diversity in single-phase loads, leading to the “three highs” problem, which easily causes three-phase imbalance in the power grid. Additionally, three-phase impulsive loads and large motors with frequent speed changes demand high power and rapid, precise compensation from reactive power compensation devices. When the power supply lines are long, parasitic inductance can lead to voltage drops at the end of the system and imbalance in three-phase currents.These issues severely affect the normal use of electrical energy. If not addressed in a timely manner, they can lead to a series of economic losses for enterprises and give rise to various safety hazards, such as accelerated aging of lines and sudden failures of electronic devices.

    The compensation principle of the Static Var Generator model BY92-SVG is based on power electronics technology, which monitors the three-phase voltage and current of the power system in real-time and quickly adjusts reactive power.
