    Self-healing Technology

    • The dielectric used in our capacitors has self-healing function:Once voltage breakdown occurs, the metal conductor layer will generate high heat, so that the metal conductor around the breakdown point quickly evaporates and escapes. These escaped metal conductors are displaced within a few microseconds, and is blown out of the breakdown area under the action of pressure at the center of breakdown point, so an insulating area is formed. During and after the breakdown occurs, the capacitor can still work normally. The loss of capacitor caused by self-healing is less than 100pF, which means that the degree of loss can only be verified through precise measuring instruments.

    G Discharge Resistor Module

    • The capacitors equipped with a discharge resistor module to ensure that the capacitor terminal voltage drops below 50V within 50s after the capacitor is powered off.
      Over-voltage Separation Protection Device G In the event of over-voltage or near the end of service life of capacitor, the increasing"self-healing" damage will lead to increase in the internal pressure of the capacitor. In order to prevent them from bursting suddenly, we design a"pressure relief structure" on the cylindrical aluminum can of the capacitor.This safe structure is designed as a weakened point in the internal connection of capacitor.     Installation Precautions

    Installation Precautions  of BY71 0.45-15-3 cylindrical capacitors

    General Requirements:

    • The capacitor should be installed indoors and used at an elevation below 2000 meters.
    • The ambient air temperature during operation should be between -25℃ and +50℃, with humidity levels below 85%.
    • Note: Products can be customized for low-temperature environments ranging from -40℃ to +50℃.

    Installation Environment:

    • The installation site should not be exposed to direct sunlight or be soaked in rain.
    • Avoid locations with excessive dust and intense vibrations.
    • Maintain a minimum distance of 30mm between capacitors.

    Ventilation and Heat Dissipation:

    • During high ambient temperatures in summer, effective measures should be taken to ensure proper ventilation and heat dissipation.

    Electrical Considerations:

    • Before installation, thoroughly consider factors related to high voltage increases caused by capacitor input to prevent prolonged operation under overvoltage conditions.
    • Pay attention to detecting voltage waveforms and network characteristics before installing capacitors.
    • If harmonic sources are present (e.g., large rectifiers, frequency converters, intermediate frequency furnaces), take appropriate measures to limit harmonic intensity.

    Induction Motor Connection:

    • When connecting a capacitor in parallel with an induction motor, it is advisable to select a distribution container based on the capacitor current being less than 90% of the motor’s no-load current.

    Wiring:

    • Use flexible copper wire for connections at the capacitor line terminals and grounding terminals, ensuring good contact.
    • Regularly inspect the capacitor wiring terminals to prevent damage caused by poor contact.

    Safety Precautions:

    • The time interval between capacitor removal and re-operation should be greater than 3 minutes (self-discharge time) to avoid high overvoltage that may damage the capacitor.
